Our Principal Sister Fatima Azavedo is trained in Early Childhood Education and Development at Ort India Institute, Mumbai. The saying “the aim of education is life itself, not just a preparation for life”, truly reflects our Principal’s persona. She took charge as Principal of Prerana Nursery School in 2014 and has been admirably holding the post since 9 years. She is the bridge between the staff, children and parents. She is the inspiration behind the running of the school, making it a warm and inviting nest for the child.
The word ‘PRERANA’ stands for inspiration. Prerana Nursery School was started in 2014. Founded by the Society of the Sacred Heart, religious sisters dedicated to the education of women. The Society of the Sacred Heart was founded in 1800 in France.
We orient programs essentially toward enabling the children to experience their own needs and feelings, to explore themselves and their work and thus come into their own. The school aims at imparting a sound education for all irrespective of caste, creed, religion or financial background, for the all round development of the child.

Teamwork and a healthy relationship among the staff is the backbone of Prerana Nursery School and responsible for its success. Each teacher brings in her own uniqueness, a gift, which contributes to the international body of Sacred Heart Schools. I deeply appreciate and value the staff's sense of loyalty and the commitment to work, often even beyond the call of duty.

Early childhood playgrounds offer not only the physical benefits of children becoming healthier and stronger, but they encourage the growth of critical developmental and social skills that will eventually help children become effective thinkers, leaders and collaborators.
Music and dancing go hand in hand. Dancing helps a child develop their coordination by building connections in the brain. Book A Seat
The nursery is laid out over three, age appropriate rooms, babies, toddlers and pre-school. Throughout the nursery we follow a key worker system. Each child will have their own key person, who is responsible for their own individual child development file. This file will have all observations that are taken of your child and also any photographs and art work created by your child.
